Meet our Music Staff

Maggie Probst, Music Director

Maggie is a Louisiana native, raised on the Northshore (mostly), and is the oldest of four girls. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 8 and has barely gone a day since without touching the keys. Singing in her high school chorus and church youth choir gave her a passion for vocal music that she has never lost. Maggie graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Music in both Piano and Voice in 2009.  She now teaches piano and voice lessons to about 25 students and sings with the New Orleans Opera Chorus. Besides playing music, Maggie spends her time cooking, making jewelry, and hanging out with family and friends. She is already enjoying working with the people at St. Matthew’s and is excited about what is to come.  For more information on our music programs contact Maggie at
